The ‘end-of-life’ of QuickBooks POS is consistent with Intuit’s strategy to migrate its customer base from desktop software to cloud-based solutions.  For example, in May 2023 Intuit announced that it will no longer support QuickBooks Desktop 2020 financial reporting software.  This popular desktop financial accounting and reporting platform includes accounting, bill pay, payroll and many integrated services.
